Most hair products are made for high porosity hair, the kind that takes product in easily. Most of us with African and Caribbean hair, 3A to 4C, have low porosity hair, so those products just sit on top. Murumuru butter is known for absorbing into the hair and softening it, so even low porosity hair takes it in. Softer hair is easier to manipulate, so every brush stroke does more.
